Pain free hair removal
Most conventional IPL laser hair removal technologies utilize massive amounts of heat to destroy hair follicles and ensure permanent reduction. On the other hand, our Soprano Ice Platinum, SHR IPL Lasers fire multiple shots but at lower joules. This new method gently heats the hair follicles producing a warm tingling sensation—some clients compare it to a warm massage. Soprano Ice Platinum and SHR technology here at Bodhi Zen Clinic is utilised by moving the hand piece over the treated skin which contributes to the overall comfort felt by our customers during their hair reduction treatments.

Skin and hair colour won't play a significant role in whether our latest laser technology is effective in treating areas of your body. While previous methods required a light complexion and dark hair as the condition needed for successful treatment, this is not the case for the Soprano Ice Platinum or SHR method as all skin types can be successfully treated. Of course, light skin and dark hair still does best with the treatment, but in our laser-technology it is not only the melanin that is important but equally the protein of the stem cells. For this reason, our lasers do not pose any difficulty in treating people with dark skin and bright, fine hair.
Comparing Soprano Ice, SHR, IPL Laser hair removal?
IPL uses a whole band of unfocused lights which when they hit the skin, with a lot of useless energy, causing excessive heat damage and lots of pain. Laser hair removal is painful as it uses a strong focused beam of energy passing through the skin while trying to reach the hair follicles.
At BodhiZen Clinic our lasers use low energy levels; therefore it is painless as compared to IPL hair removal or Laser Hair Removal. Because of the low energy, it also severely reduces the chance of burns, even for darker skin types. Super Hair Removal has a built-in cooler on its probe that cools the skin surface, preventing superficial burns and the sensation of pain. The patient will only feel mild warmth on the skin, unlike IPL or Laser hair removal, which does not have the in-built cooler.
Typically, 10-20% of treated hairs will drop off 2 weeks after the first session. The recommended treatment course is 5 - 15 sessions, once every month. 95% of treated hairs will be removed if the 5 - 15 session treatment course is followed.

For best hair removal results
Depending on the area that requires treatment, we recommend that our clients have 5-10 treatments at four week intervals. Hair reduction treatments at four weekly intervals will ensure that we are able to target the hair at the right time during the natural re-growth cycle. Towards the end of the process, the interval between hair reduction treatments may be extended to 6-8 weeks as the re-growth cycles slow.
**Please note in a small percentage of the population it is known that individuals who suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome, endocrine imbalances and those who have had their thyroid removed - laser hair removal is not permanent however, it is known that our lasers will reduce the hair dramatically and hair reduction can be managed with ongoing top ups of the laser treatment **

Soprano Ice Platinum, Diods and SHR permanently destroys hair follicles by using low fluency repetitive light pulses targeting the susceptible hair follicles. A high repetition rate of short pulses are delivered deep into the dermis, achieving high average power and therapeutically effective heat build-up, with virtually no pain. The additional cooling mechanism ensures the surface of your skin stays cool and comfortable throughout your treatment.
Compared to conventional light-based hair removal systems which fire about 2-4 high-powered shots and utilises massive amount of heat into each hair follicle to ensure permanent hair reduction, the lasers fire minimum 20-30 shots onto each hair follicle during each of the treatments by utilising low heat which decreases pain and minimises risk or side effects and is more effective and efficient.
